I took this picture outside of work as I was walking to my car to leave for the day. I really liked how the sun was shining through the clouds. I had also just gotten the anamorphic lens from Moment so I decided to give it a try.

This photograph was taken using my Pixel 3 smartphone, equipped with the Moment Anamorphic Lens, in HDR+ mode with the Moment camera app. An anamorphic lens squeezes more of the image into the sides of the frame which distorts the image on the sensor. In order to get a picture that is not overly distorted I needed to “de-sqeeze” the image. The resulting image does sacrifice some image resolution, but allows me to get a nice panorama without the need to stitch multiple images together. The Moment app takes care of this for me. Finally I enhanced the contrast and brightened the ground using Adobe Lightroom.

I am pretty happy with how this turned out considering the spontaneous nature in witch it was captured.
